Title: Operations Analyst (Contract to Hire) - Remote
Location: Remote (Preferred PST Time Zone), preferably within 100 miles of San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM PST

Description:
  • The main function of a Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML) to support business requirements.
  • Looking for candidates with backgrounds as SQL Data Analyst, or Database Engineer or Business intelligence Analyst
  • Partner with business owners and technical peers to in-take requests, develop analytical proposals/solutions, and document processes
  • Maintain, build, and optimize data warehouse, automatized data flow, and analytics “as-a-service” environment
  • Have Business Intelligence experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, data enrichment and storytelling
  • Drive and implement automation to empower the organization to scale efficiently and with flexibility
  • Report out on proposals, roadmaps, solutions, and project updates to leaderships on regular basis
  • Strong attention to detail, necessary to deliver high quality analytics and reports to leadership
  • Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.
  • Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML).
  • Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables):
  • 2+ years of working experience with Tableau
  • 2+ years of working experience with SQL and database management, Database Analyst, or Database Engineer or Business intelligence
  • Strong analytical experience with databases in writing queries, query optimization, debugging, user-defined functions, views, indexes etc
  • Strong SQL expertise is the primary requirement, including: 
    o    Query writing and optimization
    o    Performance tuning
    o    Debugging and troubleshooting
    o    User-Defined Functions (UDFs), Views, and Indexes
  • Minimum 2+ years of Tableau experience.
  • Experience with data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence environments.
Preferred Skills (nice to have)
  • Preferred industry background: Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Life Sciences.
  • AWS and GitHub experience are nice to have.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders are required.
