Great Fit Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote telehealth team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This position is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while utilizing telehealth technologies. Our telehealth platform supports comprehensive mental health services via video calls, ensuring that counselors can maintain meaningful connections with clients across different locations. You will have access to an array of digital tools and resources that streamline documentation, client management, and communication with other healthcare providers.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, gathering information from the initial consultation to treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, identifying any underlying issues that may affect their well-being.
• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and foster a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to support their recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies.
• Engage with psychiatrists and other attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care during transitions.
• Identify and intervene on any behaviors or patterns that may hinder recovery, providing education and strategies to clients and their families.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental and behavioral challenges, enhancing the overall support system for clients.

Your work will involve engaging with a diverse range of clients, including those coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction disorders. Your compassionate approach will be crucial in helping clients from various backgrounds to find the support and skills they need to improve their mental health and resilience.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor with demonstrated competency in various therapeutic modalities.
• Familiarity and proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient client documentation and communication.
• Knowledge of mental health issues related to physical health conditions and an understanding of addiction disorders.
• Strong understanding of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and a commitment to ongoing education.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside a strong ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
• High levels of empathy and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse populations.

• Experience in a telehealth setting and familiarity with remote therapies will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience providing counseling across different age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with an enticing sign-on bonus for the right candidate.
