Great Fit Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote telehealth team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, gathering information from the initial consultation to treatment completion.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, identifying any underlying issues that may affect their well-being.
  • Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve engaging with a diverse range of clients, including those coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction disorders. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Prior experience working as a mental health counselor with demonstrated competency in various therapeutic modalities.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient client documentation and communication.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues related to physical health conditions and an understanding of addiction disorders.
  • Strong understanding of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and a commitment to ongoing education.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside a strong ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
  • High levels of empathy and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse populations.
