As a telehealth facility, we leverage advanced electronic health records systems, primarily utilizing AVATAR, to facilitate seamless communication and documentation. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to gather comprehensive case information from initial consultations throughout the treatment process.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being to inform treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based techniques and your professional expertise to foster growth and healing.
• Monitor and document client progress to ensure adherence to treatment plans and make adjustments as necessary based on evolving needs.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatric professionals, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning from inpatient care, liaising with hospital psychiatrists and attending physicians to coordinate continuity of care.
• Identify any behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement strategies to manage them proactively.
• Assist families and caregivers in navigating mental health challenges related to their loved ones, equipping them with essential coping strategies.

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. Given Miami's diverse demographic, you will engage with a multifaceted patient population, requiring cultural sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for clients by empowering them to manage their mental health effectively.

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role is essential to thrive in this position.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, with experience in AVATAR being a significant asset.
• A strong understanding of the interplay between physical and emotional health, as well as substance use disorders, is necessary.
• Awareness of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside remarkable interpersonal abilities and a genuine empathetic nature.

• Familiarity with integrated care models and a collaborative approach to mental health treatment.
• Experience developing telehealth-specific therapeutic techniques.
• Expertise in group therapy facilitation and psychoeducation.
