As a remote position, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, and peer specialists, creating a supportive virtual environment that encourages open communication and teamwork. • Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate the mental health and substance abuse needs of clients, employing appropriate diagnostic tools and interviews.
• Develop, execute, and regularly revise individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, monitoring client progress closely.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions designed to foster healing and growth, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation through our electronic health records (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to enhance client care, participating in case reviews, and treatment planning meetings to foster a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
• Provide timely crisis intervention services as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety protocols to ensure client security.
• Stay informed about current trends and evidence-based practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment to continuously enhance service delivery.

The clients served at Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center include individuals aged 18 and older who may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our approach recognizes the unique cultural and individual differences within our diverse client base, allowing us to tailor our treatment modalities to meet specific needs effectively.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
• At least 2 years of direct experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and team members.
• The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team, contributing to shared goals and initiatives.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to balance various client needs and documentation requirements.

• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) preferred, with familiarity in documenting therapy sessions and client progress.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Familiarity with cultural competency and sensitivity in addressing the needs of a diverse client population.
