As a mental health counselor at Open Doors Counseling, your day will involve a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting ongoing comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs and progress.
• Engaging in effective communication with supervisors, family members, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on client treatment plans.
• Preparing tentative schedules for client appointments, home visits, and observational activities to ensure consistent support and monitoring.
• Coordinating home visits to perform in-depth observations, chart reviews, and interviews that contribute to a holistic understanding of each client’s situation.
• Overseeing the implementation of individualized program plans effectively, ensuring that therapeutic strategies are followed and adapted as needed.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively address client concerns and share insights with colleagues.
• Documenting monthly and quarterly progress notes to track developments and adjust treatment approaches accordingly.
• Facilitating training sessions to ensure that team members are well-equipped with the necessary skills to implement program plans efficiently.
• Conducting follow-up interviews and home visits to provide ongoing support and respond to client needs effectively.
• Maintaining organized and detailed records to allow for seamless communication and transparency with involved parties.
• Acting as a liaison between the organization and the mental health community to promote program development and collaboration.
• Assisting in the creation of training materials aimed at enhancing program effectiveness for clients.

In your role, you will serve a broad client base, including adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, as well as youth dealing with various psychological issues. Your expertise will help guide these individuals toward recovery and personal growth, making a significant impact on their lives.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Demonstrable experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and other related technologies.

While the required qualifications are essential, additional specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred. This experience will enhance your effectiveness in working with clients and contribute to positive treatment outcomes.

Your compensation for this vital role will range from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and caseload capacity. Additionally, you will enjoy:
