Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting initial assessments through preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client information and emotional histories, accurately documenting cases from the initial consultation through the course of treatment.
  • Evaluating clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, identifying potential challenges and crafting clear, actionable treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Creating and implementing intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing therapeutic modalities that are evidence-based and client-centered.
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment that encourages open communication and engagement.
  • Monitoring clients' progress through regular check-ins, adjusting treatment plans as needed to align with evolving needs and objectives.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychiatrists and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention plans for clients requiring integrated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
