Job description

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Mohawk Trail Counseling Center. This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to work with clients in a Hospice Center setting, providing vital mental health support to individuals and families during a challenging phase of life. This role is an ideal fit for professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of clients facing end-of-life transitions.

About the Organization

Mohawk Trail Counseling Center is an innovative outpatient mental health clinic located in Cornelius, Oregon. Our mission is to deliver high-quality mental health services that are both accessible and effective for individuals of all ages. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive, healing environment where clients can engage deeply in their therapeutic journeys. Our integrated approach encompasses a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and more, employing evidence-based treatments tailored to each client's unique needs.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work location while maintaining access to our collaborative team of mental health professionals. While the position primarily involves individual and group therapy conducted online, our LCSW will work closely with a dedicated interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff committed to providing coordinated care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health challenges, strengths, and resources available to them.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that set clear therapeutic goals and interventions, while integrating feedback from clients and their families.
  • Collaborate regularly with the treatment team to ensure that care is client-centered and meets the evolving needs of each individual.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments to ensure client safety, developing safety plans as necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards, facilitating effective communication amongst the treatment team.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, educational workshops, and support groups that foster community and provide additional resources to our client population.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals experiencing mental health concerns associated with terminal illnesses, grief, and complex emotional processes surrounding end-of-life care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will provide critical support not only to clients but also to their families, ensuring they navigate the emotional landscape of this sensitive time with dignity and understanding. Your role is instrumental in promoting resilience, healing, and quality of life for those in the hospice environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a must.
  • A solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment strategies relevant to our patient demographics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills aimed at building trust with clients and coordinating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, particularly with a focus on hospice care is preferred.
  • Experience leading group therapy sessions and providing psychoeducation to clients and families is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic practices is highly regarded.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a generous sign-on bonus. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance coverage—medical, dental, and vision—contributing to your overall well-being. We offer retirement plans with employer matching options, enabling you to secure your financial future. Additionally, enjoy a generous allocation of paid time off for vacations, personal days, and holidays, along with continued access to educational workshops and training programs to support your professional growth.

Career Growth Opportunities

Joining the Mohawk Trail Counseling Center opens doors to various career advancement opportunities. Our organization encourages continuous education and professional development, enabling you to enhance your clinical skills and potentially move into leadership roles. You will have the chance to participate in specialized training and research initiatives that are aligned with contemporary mental health practices.
