Job description

Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated NETA Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems through expert testing, maintenance, and repair. Technical Expertise
  • Electrical Testing and Analysis: Perform comprehensive electrical tests, including high-current, relay, cable, and transformer oil testing, and analyze results to ensure system reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements to maintain system integrity.
  • Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect, test, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • NETA Standards: Apply and adhere to the latest NETA standards and industry best practices in all technical activities.
  • Schematic Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams to support testing and repair efforts.

Project Management and Leadership
  • Field Service Leadership: Oversee and execute field service operations for assigned projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor project progress, manage scope, and communicate updates to leadership and clients to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor, train, and supervise junior technicians, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records, write comprehensive reports, and document findings to support project transparency and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers, project managers, and team members to deliver cohesive and efficient solutions.

Safety and Compliance
  • Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to safety regulations and NETA standards, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough field-level risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Policy Compliance: Uphold company policies and safety regulations in all activities, ensuring consistent compliance.

Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or field services, preferably in low, medium, and high-voltage systems.
  • NETA Level II, III, or IV certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification within the first year.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and schematic interpretation.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and manage projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, NETA standards, and industry safety protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and report writing.
  • Ability to work in various field conditions, lift heavy equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks.
