Join Our Team as a Remote Field Service Technician (West Coast and Southwest - Arizona Based)

We’re looking for a Remote Field Service Technician based in Arizona to support our growing customer base across the West Coast and Southwest. This is a fully remote, road‑warrior rolewith no local office. The role is perfect for someone who excels at working autonomously and enjoys being out in the field.

Our headquarters is located in Illinois, and while you’ll operate remotely day‑to‑day, you’ll spend at leasttwo weeks onsite in Illinois for onboarding and trainingto ensure you’re fully equipped for success.

Key Responsibilities

On‑Site Service & Support

  • Travel to customer sites throughout the West Coast and Southwest to perform repairs, installations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Address both mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately.

Customer Interaction

  • Serve as the face of the company for West Coast and Southwest customers.
  • Interface directly with customers, ensuring a positive service experience.
  • Communicate effectively to explain technical issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner, fostering strong customer relationships.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, diagnosing problems and implementing repairs or adjustments as needed.

Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to assist with diagnostics and repairs, ensuring all work is performed according to specifications and safety standards.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete detailed service reports after each visit, including issues identified, repairs performed, parts used, and follow‑up recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service activities.

Travel & Logistics

  • Independently manage your travel schedule across the West Coast and Southwest regions.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, including overnight stays when required.
  • Maintain readiness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Professionalism & Independence

  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer‑first mindset.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, with daily check‑ins for alignment and support.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in industrial equipment, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven hands‑on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment (mechanical and electrical).
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical issues to non‑technical customers.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and transport tools/equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the West Coast and Southwest, including overnight stays.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of industrial environments.
  • Previous customer‑facing experience is highly desirable.
  • Must be willing to travel to Illinois for a two‑week onboarding and training period.

Working Conditions

  • Fully remote role based in Arizona.
