In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health support to students with diverse special needs, ensuring their emotional well-being and successful integration into our educational setting.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students facing various challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our team prides itself on utilizing trauma-informed care practices, collaborating with educators and specialists to deliver a comprehensive support system for each child.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing you to engage with students and colleagues through a robust telehealth facility. You will have the flexibility to conduct virtual assessments, therapy sessions, and consultations from the comfort of your home while efficiently collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, identifying specific needs and crafting tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions that address mental health challenges associated with ASD, learning disabilities, and trauma.
  • Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to foster emotional regulation, personal growth, and effective coping strategies in students.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistically supportive approach to care.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, employing strong crisis management skills.
  • Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, coping mechanisms, and available resources through psychoeducation initiatives.
  • Maintain precise documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences to discuss ongoing progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and ethical practices within the field of mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support a diverse group of students ranging from early childhood through adolescence, each presenting unique mental health challenges. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing the complexities of developmental disorders, behavioral issues, and emotional distress, ultimately contributing to a positive educational experience.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Exceptional skills in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment strategies.
  • Strong background in delivering individual and group therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches.
  • Proficiency in managing crisis situations with poise and professionalism.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills required for remote work.
Preferred Experience
  • Two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly within special education or school-based mental health.
  • Experience in applying evidence-based practices tailored to children and adolescents with diverse needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and dedication. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Healthcare benefits to ensure your well-being.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you plan for the future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind in your practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education opportunities to support your professional development.
