Job description
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Field Product Specialist to serve as a critical bridge between the product team and our customers, clinical partners, and internal stakeholders. Based in Houston, TX, this part-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic startup environments, is comfortable operating independently in the field, and brings both technical depth and exceptional interpersonal skills to every interaction.
This role is part-time and offers a flexible work schedule, with the expectation that you will be available and responsive across time zones - including regular communication with our India-based team.
Product Support & Field Deployment
Serve as the on-the-ground product expert at customer and clinical sites across the Houston area and beyond.
Support product rollouts, software and hardware updates, and configuration changes at customer facilities.
Troubleshoot product issues in the field and coordinate resolutions with the engineering and product teams in India.
Clinical Studies & Research Support
Assist with the planning and execution of clinical studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and timelines.
Collect, document, and relay clinical observations, product performance data, and user feedback to the product team.
Coordinate with clinical staff, IRBs, and site administrators as needed.
Training & Enablement
Deliver product training sessions to clinical end-users, hospital staff, and internal sales or operations teams.
Develop and refine training materials, quick-reference guides, and onboarding documentation.
Ensure customers are confident and effective in using Dozee products post-deployment.
Product Feedback & Insight Gathering
Act as the voice of the customer - systematically capturing qualitative and quantitative product feedback.
Identify usability gaps, feature requests, and workflow friction points; synthesize insights for the product roadmap.
Participate in regular product reviews and feedback sessions with the India-based product team.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Communicate effectively with the product, engineering, and clinical teams.
Coordinate with U.S.-based sales, operations, and customer success teams to align on customer needs and priorities.
Represent Dozee professionally at client sites, trade events, and healthcare settings.
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Health Informatics, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clinical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond with urgency when needed.
Comfortable with a flexible, non-traditional work schedule including occasional early morning or late evening availability for calls with India.
Reliable access to transportation; ability to travel to customer and clinical sites across the Houston area.
Proficiency with standard productivity tools (Google Workspace, video conferencing).
Preferred
1-3 years of experience in a clinical, medtech, or healthcare technology environment.
Familiarity with patient monitoring systems, wearables, or nursing home clinical workflows.
Prior experience in a field application, clinical specialist, or technical support role.
Exposure to clinical research protocols, IRB processes, or GCP guidelines.
Ability to travel domestically on an occasional basis as business needs require.
