The Pharmacy Manager - Clinical Informatics provides operational and strategic leadership for enterprise Pharmacy Informatics services across Cleveland Clinic's U.S. and London locations, with primary oversight of the Epic Willow Inpatient platform and medication management technologies. Leading a team of approximately 27 Pharmacy Informatics caregivers, this role oversees medication order workflows, clinical decision support, smart pump integration, and enterprise medication-use technology. Responsibilities include directing system optimization, troubleshooting, end-user support, and strategic informatics initiatives while partnering closely with Pharmacy, Nursing, and IT leaders to design, enhance, and standardize clinical workflows. This leader also drives governance, change management, issue resolution, and technology innovation to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable medication management across the enterprise.

This is a remote role. A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Caregivers participate in an on-call rotation every four weeks, with weekend coverage provided only as needed during the assigned on-call period. There are no holiday coverage requirements. While this position is primarily remote for Ohio-based caregivers, occasional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings, go-live events, and other enterprise initiatives.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Identifyand meet patientneedsutilizingcontinuous process improvement techniques.
  • Identifyand propose practical solutions to technical, professional,personnelor procedural problems affecting daily workflow.
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed withproperly trainedpersonnel.
  • Establish work assignments and schedules.
  • Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities.
  • Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling,trainingand teaching.
  • Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties.
  • Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities.
  • Monitorfinancialsand other pertinent statistics.
  • Assistwith evaluations of financial performance.
  • Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs receivedin accordance withstate and federal laws.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within90 daysof hire
  • Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR four years of relevant pharmacy experience,including one year of leadership experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmacyDegree with current state licensure
  • MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.
  • Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.
  • May be required to lift and transport up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $118,960.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $190,360.00
