As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges, ensuring that you gather comprehensive information for effective support.
• Providing individualized, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Developing and implementing personalized care plans that outline specific goals and therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring all providers work towards a unified treatment objective.
• Providing crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments, and formulating safety plans as needed to support clients in high-stress situations.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation that adheres to both ethical guidelines and legal standards, essential for ongoing care and compliance.
• Facilitating support groups, psychoeducation classes, and individual therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to process their emotions and experiences.

You will primarily work with patients receiving hospice care, including those with terminal illnesses and their families. This population often requires not only mental health support but also guidance through grief, family dynamics, and end-of-life decision-making. Your empathetic approach and expertise will help clients manage their emotional distress while enhancing their quality of life and preserving dignity during this sensitive time.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health or hospice setting, illustrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices related to grief and end-of-life care.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapies, demonstrating knowledge of various therapeutic modalities that can be employed in different patient scenarios.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and their families effectively.

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in hospice or palliative care settings will have an advantage. Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by patients and families during the end-of-life journey is highly beneficial.
