• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including psychosocial assessments and diagnostic interviews, while ensuring that risk assessments are part of each evaluation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students that reflect their unique needs, goals, and cultural backgrounds.
• Facilitate individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Provide timely crisis intervention and effectively coordinate care for students experiencing acute distress by collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Maintain rigorous documentation by keeping accurate clinical records, including progress notes and treatment plans, consistent with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and coping strategies to empower them in managing their mental health.
• Collaborate consistently with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Implement routine outcome evaluations to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and make necessary adjustments based on student feedback and progress.
• Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health treatment, applying this knowledge to enhance clinical efficacy.
• Ensure strict adherence to ethical guidelines and patient confidentiality throughout your clinical practice.

This role primarily focuses on students of various ages within school environments who face a range of emotional and psychological challenges. You will be providing essential support for children and adolescents coping with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your culturally sensitive approach will directly contribute to building rapport and fostering a supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required.
• Possession of an active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Capacity to work autonomously while also being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for the establishment of meaningful connections with patients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Previous experience in a school-based or child and adolescent mental health settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with community resources and support services available to children and families.
• A solid understanding of trauma-informed care practices and socio-emotional learning principles.
