You will serve as a WORKLOAD FORECASTING SPECIALIST in the Public Workload Forecasting Branch (Code 1251), of the Workload Forecasting and Performance Program Division (Code 1250), in the Business and Strategic Planning Office (BSPO) (Code 1200),of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties
Help

• You will prepare monthly total, nuclear and non-nuclear Workload and Resource Report (WARR) in accordance with NAVSEAINST 4850.5C and Corporate Nuclear Power Manual Admin-A-4.
• You will provide data to and supports development of the Command Operations Plan (COP) support.
• You will be responsible for analyzing and providing ship project planning and execution resource data.
• You will perform nuclear and non-nuclear workload statistical studies, which include collecting and analyzing data and make recommendations to assist management in making decisions that determine the workload for NNSY.
• You will be responsible for providing source mitigation data, developing trade skill and corporate metrics, workload
  churn documentation, budget variance data, and mitigation strategy for nuclear workload for the CPRT and CSRT.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• The incumbent is required to maintain and obtain a confidential, nuclear access red-badge clearance.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience with waterfront ships, shipbuilding, trades, skills and waterfront work practices relative to NNSY production and support effort.
• Experience with production methods, procedures, machines, and materials for nuclear and non-nuclear ship and submarine repair or other marine vessels.
• Experience and skill in analyzing, planning, and implementing future and/or immediate workload and resource control plans for overhaul, repair and maintenance of naval ships or similar vessels.
• Experience of naval organizations, as they relate to repair, alterations, depot Maintenance, etc., of naval ships and their specific relationships to other agencies and activities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong Excel skills, working well as a team, and applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience utilizing and/or working with SPF, PMC and the WARR.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
