About the role:

Westinghouse is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at different Nuclear Power Plants within the Unites States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activates. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activates. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.

Types of tasks Jr RP Technicians may be assigned to perform or help perform include the following:

radiation and contamination surveys

material and equipment surveys

material escort

Help with ALARA planning

Help with decontamination activities

support of Site Emergency Plan

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Workers must train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.

Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge

Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
