The Medina Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to work from their preferred location. However, the team operates within a structured framework that emphasizes regular virtual meetings and collaboration to ensure cohesive interpersonal relationships and exceptional client care. You will have access to electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to streamline documentation and communication regarding client progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to accurately assess clients from their initial consultation through to treatment completion.
  • Develop individualized and group treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and best practices in psychotherapy.
  • Facilitate a range of therapy sessions, both individual and group, to address specific mental health concerns and foster client engagement.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to formulate comprehensive intervention strategies for clients.
  • Stay current with developments in psychotherapy to enhance service delivery and contribute to group learning sessions.
  • Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing behavioral challenges related to mental health.
  • Prepare comprehensive case documentation and manage ongoing referrals for additional services when necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various mental health disorders. The population served spans a wide age range, allowing you to apply tailored interventions across different developmental stages. A strong focus on empathy, active listening, and culturally sensitive practices is essential for successful client outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Colorado is mandatory.
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on professional interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine empathy for clients' experiences and challenges.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
