Job description

Remote volunteers can choose from a variety of flexible, task-based roles:

  • Listings & Sales Support: Write Craigslist and online listings for salvaged items using photos and basic details
  • Contractor Outreach: Research and identify local contractors and draft outreach messages to encourage material donations
  • Content Creation: Develop captions, simple graphics, and social media content (submitted for review; no account access required)
  • Research & Admin Support: Help identify partnerships, organize information, and build simple tracking systems
  • Creative Projects: Contribute ideas for reuse, storytelling, and showcasing salvaged materials
  • Individualized projects: Have an idea? Pitch it!

All work is submitted to the ReCONN team for reviewโ€”we handle final posting and communications.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong written communication skills (clear, concise, engaging)
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Interest in sustainability, reuse, DIY, or community-based work
  • Basic familiarity with Google Docs/Drive (or willingness to learn)
