• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients’ trauma histories, enabling the design of tailored treatment approaches.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that center on trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring each client’s unique needs are met.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in their healing journeys.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to share, process their trauma, and develop adaptive coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic and integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s mental health and wellness are addressed.
• Respond to trauma-related crises with immediate support and intervention, equipping clients with tools to cope in emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to strengthen their support systems.
• Maintain thorough and confidential client records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment updates.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and developments, enhancing collective knowledge of trauma-informed care.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, remaining current on the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy methodologies.

The primary client population consists of individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in the field of mental health, preferably focusing on trauma-informed care.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and efficiency in client care.
