Trupanion is a leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs in North America. Our mission is to help loving, responsible pet owners budget and care for their pets. At Trupanion, we offer a collaborative, casual, and pet-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves.

Job Description

Position Summary

*US - Seattle only: This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.*

We're looking for a Creative Project Manager to help bring structure, clarity, and flow to a talented creative team of designers and copywriters. This role is responsible for building and managing a sprint-based project management framework across multiple channels, audiences, and departments.

You'll establish how projects move from intake to delivery - balancing creative freedom with clear timelines and expectations. You'll partner closely with creative leadership, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to keep work aligned, prioritized, and on track.

We're looking for someone who can thrive in both proactive planning and reactive problem-solving, especially as we implement new processes. You'll be the hub that keeps creative operations efficient, transparent, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a sprint-based structure for the creative team's workflow
  • Lead project planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and prioritization meetings
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across B2B and B2C channels
  • Use Asana to plan, track, and optimize creative workflows and communication
  • Partner with design, copywriting, and marketing leads to scope projects, allocate resources, and identify blockers early
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones clearly to stakeholders
  • Support the rollout of new operational processes that improve visibility and accountability
  • Foster a culture of iteration, feedback, and creative excellence while maintaining timelines and business goals

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Asana; familiarity with Figma a plus
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and shifting priorities
  • Track record of building process from scratch, not just maintaining an existing one
  • Deep understanding of creative production timelines and workflows across digital, print, and video
  • Skilled at managing and incorporating stakeholder feedback across teams
  • Ability to optimize and implement complex, cross-functional workflows
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, channels, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Resilience and adaptability - comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving new problems in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multilingual skills or experience working in global or multicultural environments
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of creative project or program management experience
  • Experience leading projects in a marketing, design, or creative agency environment
  • Proven success implementing or managing sprint-based workflows in Asana (or similar platforms)
  • Understanding of creative production processes across digital, print, and video
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to translate creative needs into actionable plans
Additional Information

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base compensation, Trupanion employees are currently eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion's success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits at no cost to the employee
  • Four weeks of paid time off and 9 paid float holidays (you can decide which days are most important to you!)
  • Five-week sabbatical after five years of employment
  • Open, casual, pet-friendly, and fun office environment
  • Free medical health insurance for your pet (1 dog or cat)
  • Paid time off to volunteer at nonprofit organizations
  • Seattle Office Amenities: Free on-site gym, free dog walking services for office pets during business hours, free parking, and paid ORCA cards.
