The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate client appointments and emergencies. • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate patients' histories and treatment needs.
• Create and execute individualized treatment plans, focusing on trauma recovery and fostering resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a nurturing space for patients to process their trauma experiences.
• Engage in collaborative practice by working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating composure and expertise.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available to them.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient progress in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities centered on trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma treatment to continuously enhance professional skills and service delivery.

This role focuses on working with a diverse population of patients affected by trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and associated mental health disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will engage with clients who may carry the weight of emotional pain and seek your guidance for recovery. Your efforts will not only contribute to individual healing but also promote wider community health and resilience.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• Two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches is essential.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies is highly desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong emphasis on a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and patient management.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment is crucial for patient care.

• Experience with crisis management and intervention strategies in trauma contexts.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks relevant to trauma recovery.
