WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Business Systems Engineer supports the analysis, enhancement, implementation, and optimization of business applications and related processes across assigned functional areas. This role partners with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to evaluate requirements, troubleshoot moderately complex system and process issues, support solution design, and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, controls, and user experience.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Gather and analyze business requirements, assess impacts, and recommend system solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, process improvements, and solution designs.

System Configuration, Development Support & Implementation

  • Support application configuration, enhancements, integrations, and implementations in partnership with technical teams and vendors.

  • Contribute to release planning, testing, deployment activities, and process optimization.

Testing, Issue Resolution & Maintenance

  • Validate system changes through testing, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and support ongoing application maintenance.

  • Monitor system performance and data quality to identify improvement opportunities.

Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Maintain project and support documentation, communicate status and risks, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 5-7 years of experience in business systems analysis, business systems engineering, or application support.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Automotive or financial services experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of requirements gathering, process mapping, SDLC, testing, change management, and application support.
