Description

Summary: The Application Packaging & Endpoint Engineer responsible for application packaging, and enterprise endpoint management, including SCCM/MCM (Configuration Manager) administration, Operating System Deployment (OSD), and software lifecycle management. Manages Intune and Autopilot solutions to deliver secure device provisioning, patching, compliance, troubleshooting, and modern workplace services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage strong hands-on experience in Application Packaging, Workstation Vulnerability Management, Operating System Deployment (OSD), SCCM/MCM administration, and Intune/Autopilot to deliver scalable and secure endpoint solutions.
  • Lead the offshore application packaging team and support the end-to-end application packaging workflow.
  • Own the complete application packaging lifecycle, including intake, assessment, packaging, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
  • Partner closely with IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Security, and Application Owners to ensure software compliance, licensing alignment, and deployment readiness.
  • Establish application packaging standards, governance, documentation, and operational procedures to improve quality and consistency.
  • Design, package, and deploy applications using InstallShield AdminStudio, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit, Win32, and VMware AppVolumes.
  • Lead Modern Device Management initiatives using Intune, Autopilot, and Co-management.
  • Build, configure, and support OSD (Operating System Deployment) solutions, including PXE, boot media, task sequences, and imaging.
  • Develop advanced PowerShell automation for application packaging, deployments, operational efficiency, and process optimization.
  • Manage endpoint patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities to maintain a secure and supported environment
  • Support Windows 11 lifecycle management, feature updates, operating system upgrades, and endpoint engineering initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex deployment, endpoint, application, and VDI-related issues as an L2/L3 escalation point.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management, leveraging ServiceNow.
  • Support and manage Cloud and VDI environments, including VMware AppVolumes and non-persistent desktop models.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process optimization, and knowledge sharing across onshore and offshore teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable endpoint solutions.
  • Provide On-Call support for critical deployments and production issues as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in Application Packaging, Endpoint Engineering, SCCM/MECM Administration, OSD, Intune, and Autopilot

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Application Packaging and Endpoint Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Application Packaging, Vulnerability Management, Operating System Deployment (OSD), SCCM/MCM administration, and Intune/Autopilot.
  • Expertise in advanced PowerShell scripting and automation for packaging, deployments, operational efficiency, and workflow optimization.
  • Proven experience with SCCM/MCM administration, including applications, collections, task sequences, software deployments, and reporting.
  • Experience in patch management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint compliance management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Co-management, and Modern Device Management.
  • Experience with MSI packaging, MST customization, InstallShield AdminStudio, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT), Win32 applications, and VMware AppVolumes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills using tools such as CMTrace, ProcMon, PowerShell logging, and log analysis.
  • Proven leadership experience managing application packaging operations, including ownership of the end-to-end packaging workflow, coordination with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and software licensing teams, and leadership of offshore resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads, manage delivery timelines, establish quality standards, mentor team members, and drive operational excellence across the software packaging lifecycle.
  • Strong communication with the ability to collaborate effectively across Security, Asset Management, and Business teams.
