As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be expected to:

• Facilitate virtual therapy sessions for clients facing various mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings.
• Collaborate with clients to identify personal goals and develop actionable steps to achieve them.
• Design tailored treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client, regularly assessing progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and best practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay informed about the latest trends and techniques in mental health care.

You will be engaging with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• A valid and active license to practice independently in Virginia (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW).
• Demonstrated proficiency in therapy techniques and a solid understanding of treatment planning.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust in a virtual setting.
• Experience using telehealth platforms and a commitment to embracing technological solutions in patient care.

We value candidates with at least two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly those who have worked with a range of mental health issues. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based practices is a plus. A commitment to ongoing professional development and certification in niche therapy areas is also favorable.
