  • Refer patients to higher levels of care or specialty services when clinically appropriate.

  • Maintain timely, accurate, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Complete medication refills, prior authorization documentation, patient communications, and other clinically necessary follow-up responsibilities in a timely manner.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, professional standards, organizational policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.

  • Participate in clinical consultation and case collaboration when appropriate.

  • Maintain professional communication with patients, families, administrative staff, and other members of the treatment team.

  • Current prescriptive authority as required by applicable state law.

  • Active DEA registration when required for the provider's clinical responsibilities.

  • Ability to meet applicable collaborative or supervisory requirements, if required by the state of practice.

  • Current professional liability/malpractice insurance.

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning.

  • Knowledge of psychiatric emergencies, suicide-risk assessment, safety planning, and appropriate escalation of care.

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice with appropriate professional independence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to provide high-quality care through a telehealth environment.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
