To thrive as a Remote Network Engineer, you need a solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting, typically backed by a degree in computer science or a related field and relevant certifications like Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+. Proficiency with network monitoring tools, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking systems is essential.
