Link Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Network Manager to join our team at Adelphi, MD.

Our Enterprise Networking Managerย will be responsible for the full lifecycle of enterprise networking operations, including planning and implementation, optimization, and security integration. As a leader, you will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD. ย

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, encryption devices, wireless access points, and associated networking gear.
  • Oversee network control center operations to ensure 24/7 availability and proactive incident management.
  • Design, install, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructures, including IPV4/IPV6, IPSec VPN, and voice/video systems.
  • Guide network modernization efforts, new technology integration, and network architecture strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to develop compliant, secure, and scalable network solutions aligned with INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, ensuring effective integration with existing systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation for designs, configurations, and system operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level network engineers, promoting a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Translate business and mission requirements into technical networking solutions and support documentation.
  • Participate in security audits, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation processes related to network assets.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secretย Clearance
  • Must have a BA/BS Degree in computer science, information technology, or logistics.
  • Ten (10+) years of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher perย DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security,ย GICSP,ย GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Proven leadership in managing complex network environments, including DoD networks.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems.
  • Experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
  • Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • CCIE certification.
  • Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooterย who thrives in resolvingย complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range:ย $79,000 - $133,000

Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.
