Job description

Position Overview

MetroSys is seeking a highly experienced Network Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise network transformation initiatives for our clients. This is a client-facing, architect-level role responsible for driving end-to-end network strategy, architecture, and execution across complex environments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader and trusted advisor who can engage stakeholders, architect scalable and secure solutions, and lead large-scale network deployments, migrations, and modernization efforts.


Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Strategic Advisory
  • Serve as the primary network architect and trusted advisor for client engagements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, and architecture design discussions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.
  • Present architectural designs, roadmaps, and outcomes to technical and executive stakeholders.

Architecture & Solution Design
  • Design and architect enterprise network solutions across:
    • Routing & switching (LAN/WAN)
    • Data center networking
    • Secure edge and segmentation strategies
  • Develop reference architectures, standards, and best practices aligned with client environments.
  • Lead network modernization initiatives, including legacy refresh and next-gen architecture adoption.
  • Architect solutions leveraging Cisco, Fortinet, and Arista platforms.

Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead large-scale network transformation projects, including:
    • Data center migrations and consolidations
    • Campus and branch deployments
    • SD-WAN implementations
    • Zero Trust and segmentation initiatives
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery, including planning, implementation, testing, and validation.
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery readiness in all designs.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and escalation support during complex deployments.

Security & Advanced Networking
  • Architect and implement network security solutions, including:
    • Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco)
    • VPN and secure remote access
    • Network segmentation and Zero Trust architectures
  • Design solutions incorporating NAC, identity-aware networking, and policy enforcement.
  • Integrate networking with cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Technical Leadership & Governance
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across delivery teams.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, including diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
  • Stay aligned with industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor advancements.
  • Ensure adherence to MetroSys delivery methodologies and quality standards.

Pre-Sales & Solution Development
  • Partner with sales teams to scope, design, and position network solutions.
  • Contribute to statements of work (SOWs), proposals, and level-of-effort estimates.
  • Lead client presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
  • Support strategic account planning and solution positioning.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking, architecture, or consulting roles.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale network design and transformation projects.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Cisco networking technologies
    • Fortinet security platforms
    • Arista data center networking
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN)
    • Firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation
    • High availability and disaster recovery design
  • Experience in client-facing or consulting environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Skills
  • Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or Arista ACE.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid architectures.
  • Familiarity with network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs).
  • Experience with NAC solutions and identity-based access controls.
  • Background in professional services or consulting organizations.
