Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to tailor individualized therapy strategies for clients.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to groups, families, couples, and individuals, fostering an engaging therapeutic atmosphere.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused short-term interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care and seamless service delivery.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records that comply with legal and ethical standards while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to remain at the forefront of mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will cater to a diverse client population, focusing on individuals struggling with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a counseling role, preferably within a clinical setting, is essential.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
