Job Summary
As a Senior Cloud Engineer at ZOLL, you will drive and evangelize configuration management activities across the entire organization providing best practices and ensuring our source control and builds are secured and running smoothly.
Essential Functions
  • Be part of the technical leadership of a team of Cloud Engineers, guide and provide experience and deep technical knowledge
  • Provide automated and orchestrated management of all cloud platforms and technical solutions to complex problems that require creativity and dedication
  • Provide guidance and expertise to product developers as part of ZOLL's Global IT Cloud Team
  • Lead and contribute to AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud development, maintenance, automation and orchestration for applications, websites, data services, virtual networks, security, monitoring, service discovery and other platform services; ensuring that assignments are delivered on schedule and in accordance with ZOLL Global IT quality standards
  • Guide the successful completion of all aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role
  • Contribute in definition and enforcement of patterns, best practices and strategies for source control structure, branching and CI/CD in all cloud environments containing cloud native functions as well as non-containerized workloads with focus on infrastructure related topics
  • Enhance platform services with tools like Terraform, Ansible, GIT, Jenkins and Packer
  • Collaborate to identify and enforce patterns for local developer environments to ensure consistency across all products and into production builds
  • Collaborate with other Global IT teams to define, promote, and maintain Global IT best practices across the ZOLL organization and product lines
  • Collaboratively participate with team members to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions
  • Partner with Architects and product development teams within Agile processes to build rock solid services and further improve where possible
  • Support Management with reports and provide financial governance for any cloud operation

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • 10+ years Experience in server administration (Linux and or Windows) in Enterprise environments required
  • 4-6 years Experience developing production level applications or automated deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code in a public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google) required
  • 4-6 years Experience in DevOps practices and platform engineering for commercial applications required
  • 4-6 years Experience in scripting or development languages (Bash, Powershell, Python, JSON) required
  • 4-6 years Experience with configuration management tools (Docker, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt) required
  • 1-2 years experience in leading teams preferred
  • Expert level experience logging and observing solutions (OpenTelemitry, Splunk, Graylog, ELK Stack, Cloudwatch) required
  • Amazon AWS Solution Architect/Developer/Administrator certification Preferred
  • Microsoft Azure Solution Architect/Developer/Administrator certification Preferred

The annual salary for this position is:
$133,200.00 to $199,800.00
This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
