Our challenge

We are seeking a high-caliber Infrastructure/Operation (AV & Collaboration) Engineer. The candidate will be a core member of the global engineering team focused on product/ technology evaluation, design, and leading deployments.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is$85k - $90k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Evaluation:
  • Partner with a global engineering team to identify and evaluate emerging conference room technologies.
  • Conduct rigorous proof of concepts in regional labs to validate hardware & software performance within our specific network environment.
  • Lead regional pilot deployments gathering user feedback and technical data to refine global design standards.
  • Design and standards engineering:
  • Collaborate on the design of standardized AV "building blocks" for various space types from huddle rooms to high impact executive boardrooms.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including signal flow diagrams, wiring schematics and configuration guides.
  • Ensure all regional builds aligned with global security networking and aesthetic standards.
  • Regional escalation and technical leadership.
  • Serve as the tier 3 technical escalation point for regional operations and support teams resolving complex systemic issues that exceed standard troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with local AV integrators and vendors to ensure project delivery meets engineering specifications.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Expert knowledge of video conferencing, AV over IP standards, control systems, audio DSP.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom rooms including back-end management and advanced configuration.
  • Technical proficiency in Cisco Control Hub and Call Manager.
  • Experience in professional grade DSPs, PTZ cameras, beamforming microphones, and large format displays/active LED walls.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural drawings and signal flow diagrams.
  • Self-starter:ability to operate independently as a remote extension of a global team maintaining high productivity across different time zones.
