Senior Windows Administrator, Financial or Trading Experience Required - Work From Home
We are currently looking for a Senior Windows Administrator for a great work from home opportunity. We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Senior Windows Administrator to join a growing IT team. This position is 100% Remote.
Senior Windows Administrator Responsibilities:
- The Senior Windows Administrator will be added to an existing IT team where they will interact with all IT functional areas (e.g. architecture, design, network engineering, Helpdesk/Desktop support, application development and support).
- The Senior Windows Administrator will be working in a dynamic, heterogeneous environment and must have an extensive technical background including experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance and networking.
Senior Windows Administrator Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year university in computer science, information science or related technical field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Thorough knowledge (5+ years) of Windows architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
- Thorough knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktop operating systems.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task, able to work independently as well as a team player.
- Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in On-call for overnights, weekends and holidays on a rotational basis with openness to change duties.
- Must have operations experience in 24/7 environments.
- Must be knowledgeable about Active Directory and recent versions of Microsoft Exchange.
- Have familiarity with basic Linux commands and ability to assist in building and managing Linux systems.
- System configuration experience (SMS, Altiris, PowerShell).
- Experience supporting Citrix is a plus.
- System monitoring experience (SNMP, Dell Open Manage, etc.).
- Working knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.) is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have worked within the financial industry with a robust background in Linux design, implementation and support.
- Must be highly self-motivated, excel at multitasking, and comfortable working in a demanding, state of the art trading environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Work location in the US is generally flexible and subject to approval.
