What is a remote job in the Netherlands?

Remote jobs in the Netherlands are positions that allow employees to work from locations outside a traditional office, often from home or anywhere with a reliable internet connection. These roles are available in various industries, including technology, marketing, customer service, and more. Remote work provides flexibility and can be ideal for those seeking work-life balance or living outside major Dutch cities. Many companies in the Netherlands have adopted remote work policies, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, making such opportunities more accessible. However, some remote roles may require you to be based in the Netherlands due to legal, tax, or time zone considerations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote worker in the Netherlands?

To thrive as a remote worker in the Netherlands, you need strong self-management, digital literacy, and typically experience or education relevant to your field. Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and project management systems is often required. Excellent communication, time management, and adaptability help you excel in a distributed work environment. These skills ensure productivity, effective teamwork, and seamless workflow regardless of physical location.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working remotely from the Netherlands, and how can they be addressed?

Remote professionals in the Netherlands often encounter challenges such as managing time zone differences with international teams, maintaining work-life balance, and staying connected with colleagues. To address these, it's important to establish clear communication routines, leverage digital collaboration tools, and set boundaries between work and personal life. Many Dutch companies also support remote employees by offering flexible hours, virtual team-building activities, and regular check-ins to foster a sense of belonging and ensure productivity.

Account Executive

Content Guru is a leading global provider of enterprise cloud Customer Experience (CX) and contact centre solutions, and we are at the forefront of the Generative AI evolution.

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Executive to join our US sales team and help grow our presence across key markets. If you thrive on building relationships, closing complex enterprise deals, and delivering value in a fast-paced technology environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What we are looking for...

We're seeking a commercially focused individual with a proven track record of success in SaaS or cloud sales. You'll take ownership of the full sales cycle-identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities-while building strong partnerships with customers and stakeholders.

Location...

This role is remote but you will be expected to visit our Reston, Virginia office as and when required. The role will also include regular travel to client sites, trade shows, and partner events.

Key responsibilities of the role...

Strategic Sales & Planning:

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across your assigned territory or sector
  • Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through a structured sales process
  • Accurately forecast pipeline activity and maintain CRM records

Customer Engagement:

  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and senior stakeholders
  • Present compelling proposals and tailored solutions that align with client objectives
  • Manage expectations during presales, contract negotiation, delivery, and aftercare
  • Promote additional services and identify opportunities for account expansion

Bid & Proposal Management:

  • Lead and contribute to RFP responses, proposals, and complex deal structures
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and virtual bid teams to deliver quality submissions on time
  • Qualify opportunities and mitigate risks early in the sales process

Product & Market Expertise:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Content Guru's storm platform and relevant technologies
  • Keep informed of industry trends, regulations, and competitor offerings
  • Deliver solution demonstrations and articulate the business value of our platform
  • Collaborate with marketing and contribute thought leadership where appropriate

About you...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience closing complex B2B deals in the SaaS, cloud, or IT services space
  • Experience selling to enterprise-level clients and senior executives
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Skilled in account planning, negotiation, and consultative selling
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales forecasting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commercial mindset
  • Experience selling into vertical markets such as healthcare, utilities, or government is desirable

  • Note: Due to the security-sensitive nature of our work in the US, this role is restricted to US nationals
