The Systems Engineer II - CRM designs, builds, and supports scalable solutions on Salesforce, HubSpot, and related CRM platforms for Gloo360 customers. This role owns complex integrations, custom development, deployments, and Tier-3 escalations, ensuring our clients' revenue operations run reliably and efficiently. You will lead scalable implementations and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-impact CRM enhancements.

Technical Development

  • Design and build scalable technical solutions in Salesforce and HubSpot based on documented business requirements
  • Develop and maintain custom code (APEX, Lightning Web Components, HubL, python/node.js, etc.), Salesforce Flows, HubSpot Workflows.
  • Manage deployments in collaboration with System Managers, Program Managers, and Business Stakeholders.

Integration Management

  • Ensure seamless integration across platforms including Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and third-party platforms.
  • Leverage APIs, middleware (e.g. Informatica, Zapier), and custom connectors to maintain automated data pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues to ensure data consistency and system reliability.

Technical Administration & Support

  • Act as the Tier-3 escalation point for CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) support issues.
  • Monitor platform performance, proactively identifying and resolving risks.
  • Implement data quality standards and system audit reporting.
  • Guide and mentor Tier 1/2 engineers on complex administration and support tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with internal teams to understand process bottlenecks and deliver effective CRM solutions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and design/implement technical solutions that meet those needs.
  • Occasionally communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Documentation & Training

  • Develop and maintain concise documentation of CRM configurations, system automations, data mappings and integrations, as well as release notes.
  • Conduct training sessions when necessary to empower users and teams to effectively utilize and adopt e.g., Salesforce and HubSpot capabilities.
  • Regularly review and update training materials in alignment with system enhancements and platform updates.

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously assess CRM processes to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and automation.
  • Stay informed on platform updates from e.g., Salesforce and HubSpot, recommending and implementing enhancements where beneficial.
  • Regularly assess and refine workflows and configurations to meet organizational goals.

Specific Job Requirements: (Degrees, certifications, experience, physical ability, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce configuration, integration, and support.
  • 3+ years of experience with APEX, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce Flow.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, middleware, and scripting for system integrations (e.g., APEX, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot platform capabilities.
  • Experience with data integration tools and platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier, Informatica, or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce and HubSpot's declarative and programmatic capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable solutions and drive workflow optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required); Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (preferred); HubSpot CMS Developer certification (preferred)
