What is a remote nanotechnology?

A remote nanotechnology job is a position in the field of nanotechnology that allows professionals to work from a location outside of a traditional laboratory or office, typically from home or another remote location. These roles often involve tasks such as research, data analysis, simulation, technical writing, or product development that can be performed using digital tools and communication platforms. Remote nanotechnology jobs are ideal for those who have a strong background in science or engineering and are comfortable collaborating with teams online. Such positions may be found in academia, private industry, or government agencies focusing on nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, or nanomedicine.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote nanotechnology specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Nanotechnology Specialist, you need a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or physics—often with an advanced degree—and experience in nanoscale research and analysis. Familiarity with specialized tools such as scanning electron microscopes (SEM), atomic force microscopes (AFM), and simulation software, along with certifications in laboratory safety or nanomanufacturing, is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective remote communication skills set top professionals apart in this field. These skills are crucial for ensuring precise experimentation, reliable data interpretation, and seamless collaboration with distributed teams in a highly technical and innovative environment.

What are common challenges faced by professionals working remotely in nanotechnology, and how can they be addressed?

Remote nanotechnology professionals often encounter challenges related to limited access to specialized laboratory equipment and hands-on experimental work. To address these issues, many teams utilize virtual simulations, remote instrumentation access, and highly collaborative digital platforms to facilitate research and data analysis. Building strong communication channels with on-site colleagues is also essential to stay engaged in projects and ensure seamless progress. Regular virtual meetings and clear documentation help bridge the gap between remote and on-site team members, fostering a productive and inclusive work environment.

Job description

About the Team

Nothing is on a mission to make tech feel exciting again. In a world where most technology looks and feels the same, we're building iconic products that are just as joyful to look at as they are to use. From our Glyph Interface to our transparent earbuds, we sweat every detail because we believe great design should inspire people, not just serve them.

We're now looking for an Influencer Manager to help build something new: Nothing's cultural presence in the US. This is a founding role within our US marketing team, which means you won't be inheriting a playbook, you'll be writing it. You'll take full ownership of Nothing's influencer program across North America, working with creators and cultural voices who don't just have audiences, but move them.

The best work you'll do here won't feel like a campaign. It'll feel like a moment, something a community actually cares about. That's the standard we're after. To get there, you'll need to be resourceful, decisive, and genuinely tapped into culture. The role will evolve quickly, and we want someone who sees that as the draw, not the fine print.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Nothing's influencer strategy for the US;
  • Execute nano, micro, and macro influencer campaigns across paid and organic;
  • Build relationships with creators across tech, music, fashion (including streetwear), and design
  • Brief creators, provide feedback, and approve deliverables to ensure content meets Nothing's creative standards;
  • Identify new influencers and content opportunities aligned with Nothing's brand;
  • Lead all aspects of contract negotiation and development, working with senior leadership on final approvals;
  • Report on campaign performance across organic and paid activity;
  • Collaborate closely with London HQ and cross-functional teams including PR, product, events, and community;
  • Facilitate product seeding, onboarding, and training.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years in agency or in-house influencer marketing, with established relationships across tech, fashion, and design, and strong ties to the NY and LA creator scenes
  • Deep fluency in the US influencer landscape, with a strong understanding of American cultural nuance, platform behavior, and creator ecosystems;
  • Experience collaborating with global teams across time zones, translating local market context for international stakeholders;
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of influencer strategies across the entire consumer journey: awareness, consideration, and conversion;
  • Actively engaged with social media, perhaps even with some experience of your own in content creation and influencer engagement;
  • Proven track record of working directly with talent and agents;
  • Creative thinker, able to be reactive, identify trends, and develop original content ideas;
  • A genuine passion for culture, design, or technology, not just marketing them. You have taste, and you know how to apply it;
  • Ability to work with a limited budget and a continuous drive toward optimizing ROI;
  • Phenomenal organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, with the ability to show creative and critical thinking and solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment;
  • Experience using digital marketing tools and reporting.

Salary Range: $92,000 - $120,000 annually (depending on experience)
Location: New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. For an exceptional candidate, we're open to discussing a remote arrangement.
