Interns may assist with tasks such as artist management, marketing, social media, event planning, and music production, using digital communication tools to collaborate with professionals in the industry. These internships offer valuable exposure to the workings of record labels, management agencies, and music promotion companies, while providing flexibility in scheduling and location. Remote music industry internships are ideal for students or aspiring professionals who wish to gain industry experience without relocating.

DISCO

Remote

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

Re-posted 15 days ago

Job description

DISCO is the industry standard for managing, organising and sharing music and other media. We make music and media workflow fast, intuitive and simple, directly connecting people and their work to save time. Today we count UMG, Sony, Warner Music, Netflix, Amazon among our customers, and over 250,000 people interact with DISCO each month. Our customers are super passionate about our product.
The Role
We're looking for a VP of Sales and RevOps to lead our global sales and RevOps functions and drive sustainable revenue growth at DISCO.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who knows and understands both the music industry and scalable SaaS sales. We're looking for someone who can set a clear sales strategy, build a reliable go-to-market engine that produces consistent results, and lead a distributed team. You'll be responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue goals, improving team performance, and making sure we have the right sales process, people, structure and operating rhythm in place.
This role requires someone who is comfortable operating at both the strategic and practical levels. You'll need to be as effective thinking through long term TAM and revenue growth as you are with day to day revenue execution. Working closely with the Executive team and other leaders, you'll need to coach the team and hold them accountable; drive some bigger, more complex deals yourself; and stay close enough to the sales process to understand what's working, what isn't, and what needs to change.
This is a great role for a proven sales leader who is deeply versed in the music industry and has built and scaled sales in a B2B SaaS environment, understands how to create repeatable revenue, and is excited by the opportunity to lead growth at a much loved music tech company.
Location
Remote position - open to applicants who live and have the right to work in the USA.
What You'll Do
  • Own the revenue number, including sales targets, pipeline creation, forecasting, and consistent attainment
  • Lead, coach, and manage the global sales team, ensuring each team member has clear expectations, strong support, and accountability for results
  • Lead, coach, and evolve the Rev Ops function, ensuring we have reliable reporting, accurate forecasting, clean CRM data, and clear visibility into the drivers of revenue performance
  • In collaboration with the GTM team and company leaders, build and maintain a practical, effective GTM strategy that supports sustainable growth across Enterprise, SMB, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
  • Personally own and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities, including leading and closing enterprise or high priority deals directly
  • Improve the sales process through close, making sure it is clear, consistent, measurable, and repeatable
  • Drive pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, deal inspection, and regular sales performance reviews
  • Identify what is helping or blocking sales performance, take action to improve conversion, velocity, win rates, and revenue outcomes
  • Partner closely with Marketing to improve lead generation, messaging, campaign follow-up, outbound motions, and sales enablement
  • Work with Customer Success and Product to understand customer needs, market feedback, churn risks, expansion opportunities, and product positioning
  • Support the team on key opportunities, including taking the lead on enterprise or strategic deals where senior input is needed
  • Utilize AI, and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sales and RevOps functions
  • Review and improve sales tooling, reporting, CRM hygiene, dashboards, reporting, and team operating rhythms
  • Build the sales playbooks, materials, training, and coaching rhythms needed to help the team perform consistently
  • Help shape future sales team structure, hiring plans, compensation design, territory planning, and market expansion decisions
  • Bring clear, data-informed updates to the executive team on performance, risks, opportunities, and priorities.

Requirements
  • 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles, driving and being responsible for product sales and revenue growth
  • 3+ years leading a Rev ops function
  • 5+ years in the music industry, preferably B2B
  • A deep understanding of the business side of the music industry, including sync and marketing, and the contacts and experience to open doors
  • A proven track record of leading B2B SaaS sales teams, ideally in music tech or adjacent creative industries
  • Experience evolving and transforming sales teams - not just inheriting and maintaining
  • Experiencing building and evolving effective RevOps teams and systems
  • An autonomous and energetic approach to problem solving
  • Collaborative, low-ego leadership style that fits a tight-knit exec team
  • Experience managing distributed/remote teams across multiple geographies

Benefits
At DISCO, our employees have told us what benefits mean the most to them, and we've listened. So as a DISCO employee, you will work remotely from home (or a co-working space) whilst being supported by a friendly and fun international team.
In addition, you will receive:
  • A competitive salary in a fast-growing startup
  • Contributions to Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Four weeks of paid vacation leave per year
  • Paid bank/public holidays as outlined in our Leave Policy
  • Two weeks of paid sick leave per year
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • A company laptop
  • Monthly internet allowance/reimbursement
  • Office set-up allowance
  • Annual learning and development allowance
  • The ability to work how you want. We're not heavy on rule books -- everyone is trusted to figure out the best way to work
