Job description

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE: 
Performs complex systems and data analysis to support business operations and technology initiatives, with a strong focus on provider data processes and solutions.  Builds, implements, manages, and sustains systems, analytical methods, tools, and processes that enhance organizational effectiveness, including Salesforce and Provider Data solutions.  Serves as the primary point of contact between the business development team and the Salesforce Platform team, coordinating communication, conducting initial analysis of platform-related issues, and facilitating resolution efforts across teams.

We are looking for an experienced professional to live and work remotely from within the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. The incumbent will be expected to come into a CareFirst location periodically for meetings, training and/or other business-related activities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identifies, analyses gaps and document complex system analysis conducted on software programs, applications, infrastructure and business systems and services. Responsible for supporting data governance activities associated with PDMES, including maintaining data standards, documentation, and access governance processes.  Provides audit support for internal and external audits by gathering documentation, responding to requests, and ensuring compliance with established processes and controls.  Troubleshoots system access issues and maintains system documentation, including data dictionaries, role definitions, and permission set documentation. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support provider data quality, workflow efficiency, system stability, and data collection capabilities.
  • Collaborates with cross-departmental, cross-functional teams, and external partners and vendors. Requires strong working knowledge of Salesforce Administration, configuration, data structures, page layouts, list views, profiles, security model, reporting capabilities within Salesforce, and basic Apex-related troubleshooting to support system analysis, familiar with APIs, and operational support activities.  Must possess experience analyzing and troubleshooting validation errors, interface and integration failures, system defects, and data processing issues.  Requires knowledge of integration and data technologies, including Kafka, SOQL, API, data mapping, and interface troubleshooting, to support analysis of upstream and downstream system impacts and provider data flows.  Experience with Copado development and release management processes, version control, and change management activities is also required.
  • Performs data collection across multiple systems, applications, and business practices.  Conducts validation activities for Provider system, application, and business enhancement.
  • Implements new technology, application development, and business services for organizational efficiency. Maintains management of Provider systems, process, procedure, techniques, and tools.
  • Drives evaluation of services, products and helps an organization to make a decision on new systems that meets organization needs and goal.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. 

Experience: 5 years relevant experience in system/technical analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform functionality and navigation.
  • Familiarity with provider data concepts such as credentialing, network participation, and demographic data etc. 
  • Experience analyzing issues involving provider data flows.
  • Ability to motivate self and foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile execution. 
  • Knowledge of system or business analysis methods and evaluation criteria.
  • Knowledge of application development, application/data architecture, Infrastructure, and business systems and processes.,
  • Knowledge of business or system analysis tools and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.


Salary Range: 79,560 - 158,015
