These roles may include administrative work, planning, customer service, finance, IT, and other functions that do not require in-person interaction. Remote municipal work allows employees to complete their tasks using digital tools, email, and virtual meetings, while still serving the needs of the public and government operations. As more local governments embrace digital transformation, remote municipal jobs are becoming increasingly common, offering flexibility to both employers and employees.
