Title: - MS SQL Database Admin
Location - US - RemoteMin Experience - 10+ years

  • The candidate should have strong expertise in MSSQL database architecture and large-scale migrations from on-premises data centers to AWS, including EC2- and RDS-based deployments.
  • Experience should include end-to-end database migration lifecycle, covering assessment, migration strategy, schema conversion, data transfer, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with cross-account and cross-region database migrations leveraging AWS DMS, native backup/restore, and replication mechanisms.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch MS SQL Server databases and RDS. Well-versed in resolving security violations on MSSQL servers/DB/RDS.
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, indexing, and integrity checks.
  • Design, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime on on-premises installations.
  • Manage and automate backup processes, ensuring data availability and integrity, using native and 3rd party backup tools like Rubrik, AWS Backup service, and S3.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively tune databases, optimizing SQL queries, indexes, and configurations.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and fast response times.
  • Design, implement, and manage high-availability solutions, including SQL Server clustering, Always-On Availability Groups, and database mirroring.
  • Configure and monitor replication strategies such as transactional replication, merge replication, and log shipping to ensure data availability across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high availability and replication issues, minimizing downtime and data loss.
  • Good Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, backup services, and other offerings.
  • It is good to have experience with other AWS Aurora and RDS (Like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySql).
  • Candidate should have 12+ years of experience with the MSSQL database, preferably certified in MSSQL and ASW.
