Crossbend Behavioral Center PC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our expanding team. This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to provide mental health services within a community health clinic setting. As an LPC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the emotional, physical, and mental health of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, and collaborate with primary care providers to formulate personalized treatment goals.
  • Provide brief, focused therapeutic interventions for patients in need of mental health services, ensuring effective support and guidance.
  • Monitor patient progress post-therapy, initiating follow-ups to discuss their status and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Identify patients at risk of deterioration in their mental health and develop proactive strategies to prevent further decline.
  • Document all patient progress and diagnostic information accurately in treatment charts, ensuring compliance with Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, providing insights on behavioral health service delivery and assisting in the evaluation of program outcomes.
  • Educate patients on self-management skills and coping strategies to enhance their recovery journey.
  • Consult with clinic management about areas for program development and improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with diverse patients dealing with various mental health and psychosocial issues. You will be integral in helping individuals improve their overall well-being and stabilize their functioning, allowing them to gain confidence and enhance their quality of life. Many of our patients may also be managing chronic conditions, requiring an understanding of the intersection between mental and physical health.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
  • Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License in Texas.
  • Thorough knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, DSM-IV diagnoses, and relevant therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong understanding of developmental psychopathology and family systems.
  • Ability to maintain complete and accurate clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to better serve our diverse community.
  • Experience in a primary care setting or community health clinic is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, newly hired counselors will receive a SIGN-ON BONUS to support their transition into our organization.
