Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the needs of children and their families.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) tailored to each family’s unique circumstances and goals.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes as a key member of the multidisciplinary team and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effective progress.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to families, guiding them in strategies to enhance their child's development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal and State regulations governing social work practices.
  • Administer evaluations and maintain accurate records of assessments and interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with children and families to create a nurturing and encouraging learning environment.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to develop joint treatment plans with families and recommend appropriate strategies for their implementation.
  • Implement the IFSP for enrolled families and adjust service frequencies based on developmental assessments and family concerns.
  • Educate families on effective practices to support their child's development and maximize learning opportunities in natural settings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing support to young children, particularly those with disabilities or developmental delays, as well as their families. You will work with a wide range of client scenarios, ensuring that each child receives individualized attention that respects their unique needs, cultural backgrounds, and family dynamics. Your role will directly contribute to significant developments in their physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills during formative years.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work is required.
  • Current licensure from the appropriate Department of Public Health.
  • Active LCSW designation is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s license is necessary for occasionally visiting clients in their homes or community settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to various learning styles, ensuring personalized and effective treatment plans.
  • One year of experience in early intervention services with children is required.
  • Commitment to utilizing Natural Learning Environment Practices in all interventions.
