This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still ensuring a collaborative approach to mental health care. As a counselor in our outpatient facility, you will engage with clients virtually, providing therapy sessions and maintaining regular communication to support them throughout their treatment journey. Utilizing modern technology, you will seamlessly document client interactions through electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring effective tracking of treatment plans.

As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and identifying specific needs.
• Formulating tailored treatment plans that may involve individual or group therapy sessions.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients manage and overcome their mental health challenges.
• Facilitating regular follow-up appointments, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
• Providing referrals to other professionals, such as psychiatrists or social workers, when concurrent care is necessary.
• Documenting all assessments, treatment plans, and client interactions in our EHR system in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

You will work with a diverse range of clients facing a variety of mental health issues, including, but not limited to, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Your expertise will be key in delivering culturally responsive care tailored to individual backgrounds, utilizing techniques that resonate with each client’s unique experiences.

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• A comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, as well as cultural competence in therapeutic interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver individual and group therapy with an emphasis on inclusion.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to diffuse challenging situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a proficiency in utilizing computer applications for documentation.
• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance the overall treatment experience.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly beneficial for this role:

• Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly within telehealth or remote therapy frameworks.
• Specialized training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Active contributions to community outreach initiatives and mental health awareness campaigns.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000, along with a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
