As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have a key role in the following activities:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand the needs and challenges of your clients.
• Coordinating care and maintaining communication with other healthcare providers and community agencies to ensure holistic support for your clients.
• Providing individual, family, or group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each unique circumstance.
• Documenting treatment plans and progress notes with precision and clarity to maintain accurate medical records in compliance with established protocols.
• Acting as a liaison with community resources, advocating for patient needs to facilitate access to essential services.
• Participating in case consultation meetings with multidisciplinary teams to discuss client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Your primary focus will be on adult and geriatric populations, with a potential to extend services to child and adolescent clients in the future. You will engage with clients who are facing a range of mental health challenges, allowing for a diverse and fulfilling therapeutic experience.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Strong understanding of theoretical and clinical models, with the ability to apply these effectively in practice.
• Proven ability to build rapport with clients, facilitating a trusting and therapeutic relationship.

Your experience should ideally include:

• A solid track record of providing psychotherapeutic treatment in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of community resources related to health, education, and vocational support.
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care.
