Located in Nogales, Arizona, Summit Pacific Medical & Healthcare Center is at the forefront of providing comprehensive medical services and exceptional patient care. Recognized for our commitment to innovative treatment approaches, we operate a state-of-the-art facility that emphasizes an interdisciplinary care model, enabling close collaboration between healthcare professionals. Our wide array of medical services includes emergency care, internal medicine, surgery, and pediatrics, among others. Our core mission is to improve healthcare outcomes, and we continually strive for excellence in service delivery as evidenced by our high patient satisfaction rates and clinical achievements.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while still being a critical part of our dedicated team. The remote model supports a modern workforce, enabling our LCSWs to provide high-quality care to patients while maintaining work-life balance through flexible scheduling. While you will primarily work from home, you will stay closely connected with interdisciplinary teams through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms to ensure that patient care is always at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients, collaborating effectively with medical teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, specifically addressing issues of adjustment, grief, trauma, and coping with illness.
  • Coordinate with community organizations to effectively arrange post-discharge services, thus ensuring continuity of care beyond the Detox Center.
  • Deliver emotional support and educational resources to both patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about treatment options.
  • Engage actively in hospital committees, offering insights and expertise on social work matters that enhance overall patient care strategies.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support patients and their families in acute situations, providing immediate therapeutic responses.
  • Develop and execute discharge plans, connecting patients with relevant community resources to facilitate a smooth transition home.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation that complies with hospital policies and meets legal standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Summit Pacific Medical & Healthcare Center, you will primarily support patients undergoing detoxification and recovery processes. This population often experiences complex psychosocial challenges, including substance use issues, mental health disorders, and significant life transitions. Your role is crucial in addressing the emotional and psychological needs of these patients, empowering them to cope effectively as they navigate their healthcare journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Sound understanding of social work practices, ethical standards, and healthcare dynamics.
Preferred Experience

While two years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred, strong candidates with diverse backgrounds in social work may still be considered. Familiarity with medical terminology, mental health diagnoses, and crisis intervention practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Your ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with patients and families is essential for success.

Compensation and Benefits

Summit Pacific Medical & Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually based on your experience and expertise. In addition to this attractive compensation, we provide comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with generous paid time off and holiday allowances to promote work-life balance. Our retirement plan includes an employer match to support your long-term financial security, ensuring that our employees are cared for both personally and professionally.
