What is a remote mobile text chat operator?

A Remote Mobile Text Chat Operator is a professional who communicates with clients or customers through text-based platforms, such as SMS or in-app chat, usually from a remote location. Their primary duties often include answering questions, providing customer support, engaging in casual conversation, or moderating chat rooms. This role typically requires good typing skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple conversations at once. Operators may work for customer service companies, entertainment platforms, or online communities. The work schedule is often flexible, allowing operators to work from home.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote mobile text chat operator?

To excel as a Remote Mobile Text Chat Operator, you need strong written communication skills, fast and accurate typing abilities, and a high level of attention to detail, typically requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with chat platforms, CRM systems, and basic computer literacy are commonly expected. Exceptional customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask effectively make candidates stand out. These skills are crucial for providing timely, accurate, and engaging responses that ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the company's reputation.

What are some common challenges faced by remote mobile text chat operators, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote Mobile Text Chat Operators often encounter challenges such as maintaining high-quality conversations during repetitive tasks, managing multiple chats simultaneously, and ensuring timely responses while working independently. To manage these effectively, operators can develop strong time management skills, use organizational tools to track active conversations, and take regular breaks to avoid burnout. Additionally, staying engaged with team chats or support channels can help operators stay connected and seek guidance when needed.

Job description

Form Health is a virtual obesity medicine clinic delivering multi-disciplinary evidence-based obesity treatment through telemedicine. Obesity impacts more than 40% of the US adult population, and although historically only about 1% of patients received medical treatment for their disease, the field of Obesity Medicine is entering a period of rapid growth. Form Health provides high-quality expert care and leverages technology to enhance the patient experience. All Form Health patients work closely with their physician-led care team, which also includes advanced practice professionals and Registered Dietitians. Through our proprietary mobile app patients engage in regular video visits, as well as text messaging, photo journaling, digital data transmission, and customized educational materials. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of clinical care, and to treating every individual with empathy and respect.ย

Founded in 2019, Form Health is a venture-backed innovative startup with an experienced clinical and leadership team. Our mission is to empower patients and be leaders in Obesity Medicine driving impact at a national scale. We are deeply invested in our core value to put patients first, and also deeply committed to creating a culture where every employee is valued and we learn and improve together.ย

About the Role:

We are seeking obesity medicine physicians to provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity, and to collaborate with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians towards exceptional team-based care. Work is remote, and schedules can be flexible.ย

We are currently accepting applications for a FTE (40 hours per week) Obesity Medicine Physician or Endocrinologist opportunity, who are licensed in MISSOURI, ALABAMA, or MISSISSIPPI, OR hold an activeย IMLCย (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) designation or possess an official Letter of Qualification (LOQ).ย Licensure in multiple states is a nice-to-have, but not required.

This role will include participation in a rotating after hours call schedule with Form Health clinical leadership and will have a reduced clinical schedule the weeks of on-call coverage.

This is a Full Time (W2, 40hrs/wk) position based in a remote, telemedicine clinical setting. The physician will work closely with a supportive care team and have protected time for administrative duties.ย

What you will do:
  • Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management. The physician will have their own panel and will collaborate with Registered Dietitians.
  • At this time, this role does not collaborate with APPs. In the future, this physician role will be responsible for chart reviews and conduct return visits for APP patients every third visit to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns.
  • Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under direct care
  • Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team.
  • Assist in the professional development of APPs by fostering clinical growth, offering feedback, and supporting continuing education. This role could include APP collaboration and supervision responsibilities.ย
  • Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care.
  • Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program.

About You:

  • MD or DO degree with board certification; must be an American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate, or board certified in Endocrinology
  • Are licensed to practice and prescribe legally in MISSOURI, ALABAMA or MISSISSIPPI. Licensure in multiple states is a nice-to-have, but not required
  • This position requires multi-state practice capability. Applicants must either already hold a valid Letter of Qualification (LOQ) through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) or meet all prerequisites to rapidly secure one upon hire
  • Current or previous credentialing with insurance payers is desired, but not required
  • Are or have in the past credentialed with insurance payers (strong preference for multiple state licenses!)
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
  • Are committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity managementย
  • Have prior experience conducting telemedicine visits and who have a great "web-side" manner
  • Have prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitiansย
  • Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred
