Job Description
NETZSCH Pumps USA is looking for a self-motivated, experienced, mechanically-inclined individual to work as a Territory Sales Manager for the Oil & Gas division. This position will primarily cover Oil & Gas sales and business development in the northern part of the US. The Territory Sales Manager will manage their sales territory, develop new business and grow existing account. This position reports to the Oil & Gas Business Field Sales Director and the ideal candidate will reside near a major Midwest Hub, or North Dakota.
The Territory Sales Manager will perform the following duties among others:
  • Technically and commercially support distributors/OEM/Partners in the region
  • Sell NETZSCH pumps, grinders, spare parts and service to meet or exceed region sales revenue plan as established by NETZSCH Pumps management.
  • Manage all project activity in the assigned region, including product offerings, and establish sales strategy while following Company policies and objectives.
  • Manage forecasting activities on a monthly/weekly basis. Assist with the annual forecast plan development
  • Receive RFQ's and qualify them. Review quotes for accuracy prior to sending to customer. Regularly follow up on all quotes and leads.
  • Develop and implement strategies for displacement of competition at new and existing targeted accounts.
  • Provide required training to sales partner's staff on products, applications, competition, commercial issues, company policies and operational procedures.
  • Support sales partners with customer training.
  • Make joint sales calls with sales partners or service personnel to build relationships with key customers in the region.
  • Represent NETZSCH at trade shows and industry events.
  • Provide the Company with market trends, sales growth strategies, pricing intelligence/strategies and other competitive intelligence. Participate in marketing activities as required.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have prior outside sales experience in the Oil & Gas market, selling industrial equipment, preferably pumps, rotating equipment or other related industrial equipment. Experience with positive displacement pumps, progressing cavity pumps, multiphase pumps or similar equipment is strongly preferred. In addition, candidates should have:
  • Solid negotiation skills which includes the ability to communicate, persuade, strategize and cooperate.
  • Previous experience managing a sales territory, developing new business, growing existing accounts and calling on upstream, midstream and/or downstream customers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time.
  • The ability to have related business and technical discussions as well as the ability to speak in front of groups.
  • A valid driver's license and current passport.
  • The ability to travel up to 60% as required to achieve sales goals. Travel is mostly domestic with occasional international trips to other NETZSCH entities.
