Job description

  • ROLE TITLE: .NET Web Developer I
  • WORK ARRANGEMENT:
    • 80% Remote from within Wisconsin. One day onsite per week; remainder remote from within Wisconsin.
    • The candidate must be a current resident of Wisconsin
  • AGENCY: Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC)
  • CLIENT LOCATION: 4822 Madison Yards Way, Madison, WI 53705

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

This position will support a high-profile web application modernization initiative for the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The project involves rewriting and modernizing legacy Web Forms applications into a modern web application using Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC with C#, JavaScript, Telerik Kendo, CSS, HTML, and Microsoft SQL Server.

The contractor will work closely with the development team to design and develop both the front-end and server-side components of the application. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, application design, front-end and back-end development, unit and smoke testing, participation in interactive code reviews, and development of technical documentation.

The application will interface with existing authentication and authorization systems and integrate data from multiple databases and applications. Expectations include delivery of high-quality code, active participation in code reviews, sharing technical expertise, clear and respectful communication, transparency, and adherence to development standards.
