• Manage a dedicated caseload of clients, establishing trustful and professional relationships while adhering strictly to ethical standards and boundaries.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to assess their mental health progress, stability, and plan for future appointments, including appropriate discharge strategies when necessary.
• Develop personalized, person-centered treatment plans, tailoring therapeutic strategies to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practices.
• Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand the client’s situation and determine the most effective treatment approach.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, focusing on evidence-based practices that have shown results in mental health care.
• Engage in individual supervision for continued professional development and to ensure the ongoing provision of effective clinical care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and professionals, creating a comprehensive support system for clients.

You will work with a diverse patient population, providing compassionate care to individuals and families who are seeking mental health support. This role involves assessing and treating various mental health conditions, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• Current, unrestricted Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical outpatient setting is essential.
• Proficiency in using various software tools, including Microsoft Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY for documentation and scheduling.
• Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families is strongly preferred.
• Ability to conduct intake assessments competently.

Experience in specific therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based therapies, will be considered an asset. Familiarity with diverse cultural perspectives within mental health treatment is also advantageous.

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, reflective of your expertise and experience.
