Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microbiology laboratory bench experience.
  • Practical microbiology diagnostics and/or pharmaceutical laboratory supply sales experience.

Why You'll Love This Role
At Microbiologics, Sales is more than selling products-it's about building partnerships that help laboratories, manufacturers, and healthcare organizations protect the health and safety of people around the world. In this role, you will:
  • Own and grow a high-impact sales territory with significant autonomy.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with customers, distributors, and industry leaders.
  • Influence business growth by identifying new opportunities across the pharmaceutical, food quality, water and environmental, medical device, cannabis, education, personal care, and cosmetic industries.
  • Represent Microbiologics at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Help shape future sales strategies by sharing market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback.

You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in an environment where our values show up in everyday decisions, whether that's collaborating to win together, pushing to achieve more, stepping forward with bold ideas, or showing care for our colleagues and customers.
What You'll Do
Territory Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute strategic territory business plans that drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer success.
  • Prospect for new customers while expanding existing accounts across the West Territory.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through consultative selling and solution-based conversations.
  • Identify opportunities for custom manufacturing and strategic account growth.

Customer & Distributor Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing product knowledge and application expertise.
  • Support distributors with product training, sales tools, and ongoing business development.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and channel partners to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders and industry stakeholders.

Market Development
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and pricing within the territory.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer events to strengthen Microbiologics' market presence.
  • Develop presentations and deliver product demonstrations to customers and partners.
  • Participate on industry and regulatory committees and working groups, as appropriate.

Sales Planning & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate customer, account, and opportunity information within Salesforce.
  • Prepare monthly sales activity and territory performance reports.
  • Provide timely market intelligence and business insights to sales leadership.
  • Manage travel and business expenses within established budget guidelines.

Who Thrives Here
We believe successful sales professionals combine technical curiosity with a genuine passion for helping customers succeed. This role is a strong fit for someone who:
  • Builds trust quickly and develops lasting customer relationships.
  • Enjoys identifying opportunities and creating strategic solutions.
  • Communicates confidently with customers, distributors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Works independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Is highly organized and effectively manages multiple priorities across a large geographic territory.
  • Takes ownership of results and is motivated by achieving ambitious goals.
  • Aligns with our values by working collaboratively, striving for excellence, bringing forward ideas with confidence, and demonstrating care for others.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to travel approximately 35-50% throughout the assigned West Territory.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites throughout the territory.
  • This is a 100% remote, home office-based position requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout the West Territory.
  • Candidates located in Southern California are preferred to best support key customers and business needs throughout the territory.
