Employment Type: Part-Time On-Call (PTOC)

Location: Remote

Position Overview

ASRC Federal is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Software Engineer with dedicated experience in Cameo Systems Modeler to join our team on a Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) basis. This role will directly support critical federal business development efforts, proposal generation, and capture strategies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional software engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), enabling advanced system-of-systems architecture development and modern digital engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Cameo modeling and software engineering within ASRC Federal business development and capture efforts.

  • Develop, maintain, and integrate SysML models to support complex system-of-systems engineering challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with proposal teams and engineering leads to translate conceptual solutions into rigorous architectural models.

  • Support the incremental rollout and technical demonstration of digital engineering methodologies to internal stakeholders and prospective clients.

  • Design and implement customized modeling solutions that align with specific proposal requirements and agency standards.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Software & Systems Engineering: Proven background bridging software development with systems engineering principles.

  • Cameo Expertise: Hands-on, demonstrated experience utilizing Cameo Systems Modeler for complex architectural modeling.

  • MBSE & SysML: Deep understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies and strict proficiency in Systems Modeling Language (SysML).

  • Communication: Excellent technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders during proposal phases.

  • Agility & Flexibility: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, proposal-driven environment with fluctuating workloads on an on-call basis.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Systems Architecture Frameworks: Applied knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).

  • Infrastructure & Collaboration: Familiarity with Teamwork Cloud infrastructure and concurrent model collaboration environments.

  • Digital Integration: Experience executing digital thread solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.

  • Clearance: Secret or TS Clearance
